A beautiful voice and a very fine a capella tradition that fosters it.

I can't read any of these great reviews till I've read the book, but I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone is saying. Yeah, I'm just a bit frustrated to be behind the pack on this one, but luckily I've got a Ken Bruen to tide me over.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. It's not the best that ever crossed my door, as we've had a death in the family over the weekend and the funeral is on the 17th, but it's a good time to remind you all to live well while you still can. Slainte!

Seana

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

I do love that song and it took some finding on the internet to get a version that didnt have a harp plucking away in the background.

Thanks. Unexpected death always kind of jolts your idea of reality, especially if it's someone younger. I live too far away to get back for the funeral, but She Moved Through the Fair certainly fits the mood of this St. Patrick's.

Her voice is as clear and clean as a bar of Irish Spring.

Here's another song for the day.

Absolutely lovely voice and song; Ruth Melody's name is certainly right on.

Enjoy St. Patrick's Day!

And a fine head o' hair.

That's one of my favorite vocal performances ever.

Hi, Seana Graham's sister here. That was beautiful. I hope that young woman goes far...

as far as California, I certainly would love to see her sing in person!

Julie

P.S. My son is enjoying your Lighthouse series... a gift from my thoughtful sister.

Hi from Seana's sister. That was very beautiful, thanks for posting it. I hope that young girl goes very far. Maybe as far as California, where I would certainly see her sing!

P.S. My son is enjoying your Lighthouse series. Another thoughtful gift from my sister.

You can tell I don't ever blog. I didn't know I sent that twice...I guess "scroll down" needs to be in my vernacular.

Not a problem. Hope your boy likes the lighthouse books. I think the second one is the best one.

So should I imagine a certain character from a certain book that a certain Irish blogger wrote singing this song.

I'm in the home stretch, should be finishing it today.

You know whats funny? I completely forgot about that scene until you just mentioned it.

It is a true though that when men of my acquaintance get up to sing its always The Fields of Athenry and women usually go with She Moved Through The Fair.
