I'll be on BBC Radio Ulster Arts Extra Tonight (Tuesday) at 6.30 talking about stuff. Subjects may include: the Irish Crime Fiction Renaissance, why my local supermarket in St Kilda is staffed entirely by people from Derry, what kangaroo tastes like, why everyone in Hollywood wants to make their TV shows in Belfast and what my latest novel is about. Or, probably, none of that.
...
Wednesday update. It's all over. What did I talk about?
...
For the next week or so
You can listen again here...

Big deal. I can get kangaroo at my local pub.
Will the broadcast be archived for later listening? Meanwhile, check out my place discussion of a short Irish crime writer.

Great. I'm off tomorrow, and if I can figure out the time zone thing, I might be able to listen to it in the morning.
A scene in Sicily, you say?
That was a nice interview--the woman obviously knew her stuff.
I also liked the poem, Norn Iron, that preceded your segment, although I didn't catch the poets name. I probably only understood half the references, but I enjoyed the rest. It was nice to hear it aloud too.

I endeavour to please. I'll see what I can come up with...

He's called Colin Hassard. Interestingly he had to make some last minute revisions to the poem for legal reasons. They were worried about the libel laws. It seemed fine to me but I suppose better safe than sorry.
I thought the whole thing went well. Nice bunch of people at BBC Belfast.
I suppose when poets have to worry about libel laws it's a sign of a healthy interest in poetry in a culture.
Thanks for the name.

It really wasnt that libellous but I am not going to repeat it here.
